Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Policy
The Phoenix Theatre and Arts Company is dedicated to developing and maintaining a culture of equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
At its heart, theatre is a celebration and acknowledgment of the human experience, the human spirit, and the human condition. The beauty of the human condition is that we are all different - different experiences, knowledge, creativity, expression, bodies, religions, races, abilities, ideas, and talents. As artists - whether we’re directors, actors, playwrights, musicians, technicians - we are constantly telling stories from all walks of life, and constantly examining what it means to be human!
We are currently a volunteer organization, and we welcome individuals of any and all ages, races, colors, religions, abilities, ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, socio-economic status, weight, body-type, and other characteristics that make us all unique.

Land Acknowledgement
The Phoenix Theatre and Arts Company currently rehearses and performs in Shrub Oak, NY and Katonah, NY. We would like to acknowledge that the land on which the buildings that we utilize is part of the ancient homeland and traditional territories of the Wappinger People, the Schaghticoke People, and the Munsee Lenape People. We would like to pay our respect and acknowledge these people to remind ourselves and our community of their traditional care and stewarding of the lands on which we work.
