Mission
PTAC's mission is to create meaningful, inclusive theatre that brings people together, nurtures artistic growth, and expands access to the performing arts within our community.

We strive to tell stories with heart, welcome participants of all backgrounds, and make the joy of live theatre available to everyone.
Purposes
Our purposes are to:
-
Create high-quality, heartfelt theatre: producing plays, musicals, new works, staged readings, other performances that celebrate creativity, storytelling, and the joy of live art. Make the performing arts accessible to everyone by inviting people of all backgrounds, abilities, and experience levels to participate - whether onstage, backstage, or in the audience.
-
Nurture learning, curiosity, and artistic growth through classes, workshops, mentorship, and hands-on opportunities that develop skills in acting, directing, design, and all areas of theatre.
-
Strengthen our community by bringing meaningful, engaging theatre experiences to places and people who may not otherwise have access, and by building welcoming spaces where friendships, collaboration, and personal expression can thrive.
-
Encourage lifelong appreciation of the arts by offering inclusive programming that inspires creativity, deepens understanding, and sparks a love for theatre in individuals of all ages.
History
Founded in 2020 as a 501(c)3 non-profit and registered New York State charity, Phoenix Theatre & Arts Company was born from a long-held dream to create bold, resilient, and community-centered theatre.
Rising from a period of creative burnout and launched amid the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Phoenix became a fitting symbol of renewal, adaptability, and the enduring power of the arts.
Rooted in both artistic and organizational experience, the company was created to embrace growth, change, and the belief that theatre will always find a way to rise.
